Biography
Daniel was born in France on January 30th 1969 in Montreuil, a suburb in Paris.  He comes from a simple family.  Daniel is known for having an explosive personality and being temperamental, due to the fact he had to learn in his early years how to deal with various difficulties he was faced with.  Early on, he decides to drop out of school, since he sees no future for himself in the educational system.  He takes matters into his own hands and in an attempt to channel all his energy into a single purpose, he starts to hang out at boxing gymnasiums in his neighborhood.

At the age of 13 he finds himself a Muay Thai coach named Djamel Berrandou.  After 2 years of training, Daniel has his first fight against Djamai, a fight that was to be remembered for a long time onwards.  Back in the 80's amateur fighters didn't wear any protective gear, which left them sore.  It was necessary to have courage of steel to endure this challenge, but Daniel kept on moving forward.

Now emerged in this world which had become his own, Daniel's path crosses Roger Pachy's, who is the predecessor of Muay Thai not only in France but also in Europe.  Soon after that, Daniel meets Pud Pad Noy, who is famous for being one of the ten best Muay Thai fighters of all time and who was living in France then.  Daniel's true mentor, however was Mustapha Benattia, who took him in as if he were his own flesh and blood and taught him such strength and perseverance he still takes pride in.

At the age of 20 Daniel flies to Bangkok in Thaïland to break new ground and learn new combat techniques.  He stays in Pinsitchai, in the outskirts of Bangkok for many weeks to improve his technique but soon realizes he needs to understand more about this culture and has returned to this country many times ever since.
Daniel represented France in the 90s and fought against renowned fighters such as Kertubi, Laidoni, Jeremie Charlet and Khaled (Muay-Thaï world champion then) to name a few.

During a memorable fight against Khaled in the 90s, however Daniel's dream of becoming the world champion comes to a devastating end when 30 seconds prior to the end of the final round, he fractures his tibia and is compelled to abandon the fight.  After this incident which terminated his efforts as a fighter, Daniel goes back to school to pursue his degree in physical education.  He then works as a Physical Education teacher in the city of Chatillon "Hauts-de-Seine" for a period of three years.  He taught at the primary school there, and this activity was therefore connected to the National School System.

Simultaneously, Daniel joins the Muay Thai French Federation and becomes a member of the Educational Committee to aid in the training of future champions. He then goes on to coach the French Team in the 2002 European Championship, in which France won most of the medals.  Also in 2002, Daniel moves to Brazil along with his family for personal reasons.  In Brazil, he realizes that his skills as a coach may be useful and starts to browse for a position as a boxing coach.  He soon meets influential people in this field and attends a few trainings.

Shortly after that, Muay Thai professionals begin to realize that this Frenchman may be much more than a substitute coach and he is then recognized for his talent in a country known for its Capoeira and Jujitsu.  Daniel then becomes Ricardo Arona's personal coach.  Ricardo in turn becomes the Pride champion after defeating Sakura (the Japanese champion).  The RFT team (Marcio Cromado) takes interest in Daniel due to his many conquests.  Joinha and Carlos Barreto's Black House(MMA) also show interest in hiring him and he works alongside Anderson Silva (UFC champion), Lyoto Machida (UFC champion) and Vitor Belford to name a few.  Nowadays, Daniel is Anderson Silva's personal coach.

In 2009 an article is published in Karate Bushido in which Daniel Woirin is referred to as one of the best MMA strike coaches of his time.  In the near future, Daniel wants to conquer the world champion waistband and secure his place as a reference in Muay-Thaï coaching.

He is settled at present in the USA where he is the coach for the Team Quest.
